Outstanding New Student Award

Project Introduction

The purpose of “Outstanding New Student Award” for International students is to encourage diligence，nurture international professions and attract excellent international students to join in our Bachelor and Master programs.

Scholarship

“Outstanding New Student Award” includes three ratings : First Prize, Second Prize and Third Prize.

An International student who wishes to apply for the “Outstanding New Student Award” should meet the following conditions:

For the first prize of Master Program applicant, the following conditions should be met: 

①A recognized Bachelor Degree; 

②IELTS 6.5 or above (with 6.5) or equivalent proof of English proficiency;

③85% or above (with 85%) undergraduate average grades or equivalent grades approved by SIS or be a holder of special honor.

For the second prize of Master Program applicant, the following conditions should be met: 

①A recognized Bachelor Degree; 

②IELTS 6.0 or above (with 6.0) or equivalent proof of English proficiency;

③80% or above (with 80%) undergraduate average grades or equivalent grades approved by SIS or be a holder of special honor.

For the third prize of Master Program applicant, the following conditions should be met(②or③ could be satisfied as an alternative): 

①A recognized Bachelor Degree; 

②IELTS 6.0 or above (with 6.0) or equivalent proof of English proficiency;

③80% or above (with 80%) undergraduate average grades or equivalent grades approved by SIS or be a holder of special honor.

For the first prize of Bachelor Program applicant, the following conditions should be met:  

①A recognized senior high school abitur; 

②IELTS 6.0 or above (with 6.0) or equivalent proof of English proficiency;

③85% or above (with 85%) senior high school average grades or equivalent grades approved by SIS or be a holder of special honor.

For the second prize of Bachelor Program applicant, the following conditions should be met: 

①A recognized senior high school abitur;

②IELTS 6.0 or above (with 6.0) or equivalent proof of English proficiency;

③80% or above (with 80%) senior high school average grades or equivalent grades approved by SIS or be a holder of special honor.

For the third prize of Bachelor Program applicant, the following conditions should be met(②or③ could be satisfied as an alternative): 

① A recognized senior high school abitur;

②IELTS 6.0 or above (with 6.0) or equivalent proof of English proficiency;

③80% or above (with 80%) senior high school average grades or equivalent grades approved by SIS or be a holder of special honor.

Have not applied for any other scholarship at the same time as the “Outstanding New Student Award” ; Because scholarships offered by the university are limited，additional materials / interview may be required in order to test student’s overall ability.         

 List of Required Materials for Application

1. Application Form for “Outstanding New Student Award” in School of International Studies, Dongbei University of Finance & Economics;

2. Personal Statement;

3. Achievements (submitting proof is required).

Deposit

Student who accepted the scholarship need to finish the remaining tuition fee payment for first academic year within the specified time, or the scholarship will be canceled.

This regulation and policy remains under the administration of SIS and any right of application and interpretation as well as the eligibility of the aforesaid remains within SIS's decision-making authority and purview.
