Founded in 1970, the Athlone Institute of Technology aims to cultivate talents for the economic, social and industrial development of central Ireland.The main campus of the school is located 1.5 miles from the center of Athlone, which is very convenient to get to Dublin. Since its establishment, the college has made rapid development. Now it has a 45 hectare campus. 

AIT has been awarded the Sunday Times Institute of Technology of the Year 2020by the Sunday Times Good University Guide. And it is the second time that AIThas received this national accolade in just three years. AIT prides itself onproviding an exceptional, student-centered educational experience with a strongfocus on applied learning and academic excellence. 

Students involved will study at DUFE for training program curriculum which isdeveloped and designed by DUFE. DUFE students are exempted from taking thecourses at AIT for which they have completed successfully at DUFE. Uponcompletion of all the other required courses at AIT, AIT will confer degree ofBachelor of Arts (Honours) in Accounting. 

The two universities agree to establishan international partnership for providing first class education for qualifiedChinese candidates through the joint efforts of both parties.
