Monash University is located in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It is a core member of the Commonwealth University Association, a member of Australia’s prestigious Group of Eight research-intensive universities, a five-star University in Australia, and a leading academic center in the southern hemisphere. Founded by Congress in 1958, the university is named after Sir John Monash, an outstanding military commander, public administration official and civil engineer.
