On 18th October 2023, a delegation from The University of Adelaide（UOA）including Shirley Chung, Executive Director of Future Students, Mathew White, Deputy Dean (lnternational), Faculty of Arts, Business, Law, and Economics, Tony Palatianos, Director of Admissions, Kristina Qiu, Regional Manager, China, Queenie Zhang, Manager, Student Recruitment (China), were invited to visit DUFE.Shuo Tao, Director of International Exchange and Cooperation Office, Tao Meng, Dean of International Business College, Xiaoyu Ding, Dean of School of International Studies, Chuanzhong Tang, Deputy Dean of School of International Studies from Dongbei University of Finance and Economics(DUFE) have warmly welcomed the visitors at School of International Studies, DUFE(DUFE-SIS). Representatives of DUFE and UOA celebrated the 20th anniversary of cooperation.
During the meeting, Shuo Tao introduced the internationalisation development and the construction of school disciplines of Dongbei University of Finance and Economics. Tao proposed to carry out exchange program, study abroad program with The University of Adelaide at both undergraduate and postgraduate level and ‘Innovation Talent International Cooperation Funding Project’ sponsored by China Scholarship Council (CSC). Shirley Chung congratulated Dongbei University of Finance and Economics on its internationalisation achievements and looked forward to new cooperation with Dongbei University of Finance and Economics. Meng Tao introduced the running situation of International Business College and proposed to cooperate with The University of Adelaide in direct entry to master’s degree and Sino-foreign cooperative education programs in master’s degree. Xiaoyu Ding introduced the number of program students and important events in the cooperation history between DUFE and UOA, and proposed to restart the Sponsorship Agreement for Faculty Exchange between the two universities to support the short-term visits of DUFE faculties to visit UOA for academic exchanges. Chuanzhong Tang proposed to carry out new contents of the cooperation, including undergraduate foundation 1+3 program between DUFE-SIS, and UOA, pre-master 0.5+1 program between DUFE-SIS, and Business School of UOA. Both sides reviewed the 20-year history of friendly cooperation between DUFE and UOA, and put forward a new outlook on future cooperation.
After the meeting, representatives of The University of Adelaide met the program students of DUFE-SIS, introduced the Business School of UOA, the collaborative majors with DUFE-SIS, as well as the academic and career support services provided by UOA to the international students. Also, they answered the questions raised by the students.
