On April 10th, 2024, Professor Juliana Ng (Director, Research School of Accounting, College of Business and Economics), Professor Steve Sault (Director, Research School of Finance Actuarial Studies and Statistics, College of Business and Economics), Ms. Chloe Zhang(Manager, International Student Recruitment and Partnerships, College of Business and Economics), and Ms. Jessie Zhao(Career Consultant, China Liaison Office) of The Australian National University(ANU), Australia, paid a visit to the School of International Studies, DUFE (DUFE-SIS). 

During the seminar with DUFE-ANU program students, Ms. Chloe Zhang presented an overview of ANU’s College of Business and Economics as well as the city of Canberra. Prof. Juliana Ng and Prof. Steve Sault introduced the partnership model, course content, and future career directions of various programs, including Accounting, Professional Accounting, Finance, and Applied Finance. Ms. Jessie Zhao introduced the comprehensive employment support provided by ANU, encompassing resume revision, interview guidance, career planning counseling, and assistance in finding internships or full-time positions. Following the seminar, students engaged in meaningful discussions with the delegation on major selection, future career planning and so on.

During the cooperation program meeting, both sides reviewed the history of friendly cooperation between DUFE and ANU and spoke of hopes of a continued and bright new future. The two sides discussed carrying out new programs of cooperation, including an undergraduate foundation 1+3 program and a pre-master’s in Management program between DUFE-SIS and ANU.

The Australian National University, founded in 1946, locates in Canberra, Australia’s capital city. It is a comprehensive research-based public university. ANU is one of the ‘Group of Eight’ universities in Australia. ANU is ranked 34th by QS 2024. DUFE-SIS and ANU began to establish cooperation in 2015 to offer master’s level study abroad training programs in Finance, Applied Finance, Financial Management, Accounting and Professional Accounting. Since the cooperation, a total of 350 program students have graduated from the DUFE-SIS and enrolled to ANU to pursue their master’s degrees.
