On April 18th, 2024, Associate Professor Rebecca Dolan(Associate Dean (International Engagement), Faculty of Arts, Business, Law & Economics), Ms. Zoha Kazmi(Faculty International Advisor, Faculty of Arts, Business, Law and Economics), and Ms. Toby Tang(Senior Student Recruitment Manager) of The University of Adelaide(UOA), Australia, paid a visit to the School of International Studies, DUFE (DUFE-SIS).
During the cooperation program meeting, both sides reviewed the history of friendly cooperation between DUFE and UOA and spoke of hopes of a continued and bright new future. The two sides discussed carrying out new programs of cooperation, including the undergraduate foundation 1+3 program and the “ThincLab” innovation program between DUFE-SIS and UOA.
Associate Professor Rebecca Dolan delivered a marketing demo class for DUFE-UOA program students, covering topics such as marketing definition, the understanding of consumer behaviour, and the impact of digital marketing on consumer behavior. Program students actively participated in the interactive discussion with Associate Professor Rebecca Dolan, sharing their insights and questions related to the professional program.
After the demo class, Ms. Toby Tang provided an overview of UOA and the city of Adelaide, highlighting the comprehensive services provided by UOA to international students, including life assistance, writing revision, math tutoring, counselling services, and so on. She also introduced the Deloitte Academy, a collaboration between UOA and Deloitte, which offers elective courses and paid internships for undergraduate students majoring in Arts, Business, Economics, and other disciplines, and students who have fulfilled the corresponding requirements will have the opportunity to obtain additional professional certificates. Ms. Zoha Kazmi presented the cooperation program model and majors for both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Following the seminar, students engaged in meaningful discussions with the delegation on major selection, future career planning and so on.
The University of Adelaide, founded in 1874, locates in Adelaide, southern Australia. It is one of the top 100 universities in the world. UOA ranked 89th by QS 2024. DUFE-SIS and UOA began to establish cooperation in 2003. To date, the undergraduate cooperation programs embrace Accounting, Corporate Finance, International Business, Marketing, Management, Digital Marketing, and Communication. The postgraduate cooperation programs encompass Professional Accounting, Applied Finance, Accounting and Finance, Financial and Business Economics, as well as Business Analysis. Since the cooperation, a total of 119 undergraduate students and 333 postgraduate students have graduated from the DUFE-SIS and enrolled to UOA for further study. During the epidemic, UOA established its Overseas Learning Centre at DUFE-SIS, successfully enabling 87 UOA students to complete their online courses.
